In the early 1990's Gregory Sowder enjoyed working on pool cues as a hobby in Vancouver, Washington.

By 1993 "Sharkshooter Billiards" opened for business part time doing basic pool cue repair.

By 1995, because of a high volume of repair work, "Sharkshooter Billiards" became a full time business offering all phases of cue repair from ferrules, tip replacement, & shaft reconditons, to complete re-building & refinishing of pool cues.

Now, with the addition of this web site, Sharkshooter Billiards can offer the highest quality pool cue repair to pool players everywhere!!!
In 1995, after a few years of doing cue repair, Gregory started making one-of-a-kind custom cues.

Each Sowder Custom Cue takes a minimum of 18 months to complete.

Less than 20 cues are made each year.

No CNC machines are used.  Gregory does all the work on his cues from start to finish.

Gregory no longer takes pre-orders for his cues, but as he finishes them, will put them up for sale on this website.

His cues are featured in the 3rd edition of the Blue Book of Pool Cues on pages 747 - 749.
